The Prairie Ridge Health Foundation offers three different scholarships for those interested in pursuing a career in nursing.

♦ The Ruth Kohlwey Nursing Scholarship
In Memory of Ruth Kohlwey, this scholarship is made possible through the generosity of the Kohlwey family and the Prairie Ridge Health staff. The Kohlwey Scholarship is available to PRH team members who are pursuing a nursing career or extending their nursing education.

Complete and return the Scholarship Application to the Foundation Office or foundation@prairieridge.health.

♦ The Stare Nursing Scholarship
In Memory of Fredrick A. Stare and Nina I. Stare, the Stare Scholarship is available to Columbus High School Students who wish to prepare themselves through further education for a career as a Registered Nurse in the medical or public health field. For more information regarding this scholarship and to obtain an application form, please visit the Student Services office at Columbus High School.

♦ Amanda Murphy Memorial Scholarship
Amanda spent her entire professional life working in the healthcare field and was a dedicated ER nurse at PRH. Unfortunately, Amanda’s life was cut short by COVID-19, but as an organization, we honor her legacy and her love for learning, healthcare and helping others by offering this scholarship to the children of our Prairie Ridge Health team members who aspire to join the field of healthcare.

Through the kindness of Prairie Ridge Health, the community, friends and family, money has been raised to continue this scholarship in Amanda’s honor.

♦ Additional Scholarships
